Come Check out the Little City Used Book Sale June 5th-14th
Submitted by brian.ryback on Thu, 04/16/2009 - 16:31Breakthrough Technologies is volunteering at the Little City Used Book Sale June 5th-14th in the west parking lot at the Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie, IL. The Little City Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of families who have members affected by intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Admission is free except for opening night and donations of books, CDs, DVDs, records and comic books are welcome!
Last year Breakthrough shut down for a half day in June and volunteered to help sort books and run the event. We'll be doing the same this year!
Please come out and support this great cause.
ITA CityLIGHTS Nominations Include Three Breakthrough Clients

- Anna Belyaev, Type A Learning Agency, was nominated for the CityLIGHTS Award which is given to the individual that has made a significant impact on the Illinois technology community.
- Michael Feinberg, SurePayroll, was nominated for the Spotlight Award given to the CIO/CTO for leadership and outstanding contributions in the application of information technology.
- Telemedicine Solutions, LLC, makers of WoundRounds, was nominated for the Newcomer Award given to the company that has the strongest potential to emerge from start-up phase to a recognized brand in the technology marketplace.

Breakthrough's Recent iPhone Project Hits the App Store

The Emergency Medical Spanish Guide allows non-Spanish speaking Health Care professionals to quickly assess medical issues and communicate appropriate treatment. The Guide has an easy-to-use interface leveraging the iPhone’s touchscreen. Users simply touch the desired category to view a list of common questions. Upon selecting one of these questions an audio clip will play in Spanish so the patient can easily understand and receive appropriate treatment.


The application has an average customer rating of 4.5 stars! We are very excited about the application and the success of our client. With new lightweight technical tools like this one, we hope to be a part of the soution to provide cost-effective healthcare solutions that improve the productivity and effectiveness of practioners and improve outcomes with the the public receiving care.
Evanston Township High School's AM Support Program is Highlighted on Chicago Public Radio
