Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing custom software development projects for external clients from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified quality standards. This position reports to a Program Director and project teams are typically comprised of Software Developers, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Engineers, and DevOps Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning, Delivery and Management:
• Develop comprehensive project plans in partnership with Director that merge client requirements with company goals.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using change form management.

Client Communication:
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate client actions and meetings, as well as organizing internal communications
• Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on project progress and address any issues or concerns.

Team Leadership:
• Lead and motivate project team members to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Risk Management:
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project risks and implement risk management plans, as necessary.

Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Conduct regular project reviews and implement improvements as needed.

Reporting:
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of project-based management experience with cross-functional software development teams.
• Ability to lead various sized project teams of cross-functional skillsets to achieve desired solutions.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in a client-facing custom software development environment. Experience working directly with external clients is a benefit.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, prioritization, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Atlassian Suite, Microsoft Project, Trello).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with at least 1-2 years in a client-facing role.
• Experience in managing software development projects with cross-functional teams.

Details:
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 d.o.e.
