Xerox has announced some really interesting technology that it says will be available in the 2013-2014 school year. The system, called Ignite, allows structured exams to be scanned and scored and made available for aggregate scoring using existing office scanning technology. These system are never without significant setup and training issues, but Xerox seems to be taking a shot at a market exclusively owned by assessment companies and education technology companies in the past.
